March 16 – 19, 2017

ZiMUN 2017 is unique because this three-day experience offers delegates the opportunity for rich debate and global problem-solving with the addition of a framework of enriching events led by internationally celebrated musicians, ethical entrepreneurs, and leaders in diplomacy. ZiMUN’s goal is for participants to understand the changing world in which we live and begin to envision new perspectives for development and the integration of Africa.

ZiMUN 2017 is a globally-focused conference focused on ‘Uniting Africa’, exploring the relationship between African nations and their world partners. The Secretariat is working hard to ensure delegates have the opportunity to discuss real issues such as: Coordinating international responses to epidemics; Preparing for the changing farming practices needed to cope with climate change; Streamlining borders and transport routes between African nations and measures in combating the illegal trade in wildlife.  ZiMUN works within five committees: General Assembly, Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), Security Council, Environment Commission and the Human Rights Commission.

All ZiMUN2017 conference information can be found at here, with information being released and posted regularly – check back for updates on the programme; fees; guest speaker and workshop announcements. International visitors are encouraged to consider some of the world-class wildlife and conservation experiences available from our partners.

Model United Nations prepares the leaders of tomorrow to be sensitive and innovative in the solutions they provide. We feel that the amazing location and rich community will allow ZiMUN 2017 to make a lasting positive impression on all delegates.

Spots are limited and the deadline for initial registration is December 15, 2016.
